Products That Disappointed Me

I try a lot of different products and while there's lots I absolutely love, a few end up as disappointments. I have always had pretty dry skin but recently throughout the day, my nose has been getting oily so I decided to start trying a primer to combat the oil. I had the NYX Shine Killer* in my collection but hadn't tried it so decided to give it a go to see if it helped with the shiny skin I was getting. I found the texture of this really nice as a primer but it did very little to help my foundation stay on any longer than usual, I still experienced my foundation separating on my nose and looking shiny which was disappointing. Although this isn't a product that breaks the bank, it's one that was a slight let down and I wouldn't particularly recommend.

Wunderbrow is a product I first tried a few years ago but decided to give it a go again as I had seen it featured in some new Youtube videos and I couldn't remember what I thought about it. I was really disappointed with the consistency of this, it's way too liquidy to actually apply in the areas where I don't have brow hairs. As I apply it with a brush, it just gets moved around so it takes ages to actually get a decent look. The brush it comes with is like a lipgloss brush so it isn't very useful for applying small amounts of product. While it does dry and stay put, it's just way too much effort spending ages trying to apply it in the morning. My final disappointing product is the Nars Soft Matte Concealer, I have been obsessed with the Radiant Creamy Concealer for years so thought it would be worth giving this one a try. I'm not a massive fan of the fact it's in a pot because I find it hard to use quickly in the morning (although, I can't really moan as I knew that when I bought it). For a concealer, I found this didn't have enough coverage to actually cover any of the blemishes I have which I think is the main point of a concealer. It works okay for an under eye concealer because I don't have bad dark circles but for anything like redness, scarring or acne, it's not going to cover particularly well. I just found myself applying layers of this but not actually achieving anything in terms of coverage. My recommendation to anyone would be to stick with the Radiant Creamy Concealer if you're wanting something to actually hide imperfections!
