Current Favourites

I haven't done a favourites post in a while so thought I would share a few of my favourite products at the moment. I recently rediscovered my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, I have fallen back in love with it, the coverage is really great, especially as my skin has been beyond awful at the moment. The shade (Mont Blanc) is the perfect match for my skin and it lasts so well throughout the day. I have been using the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer under my eyes, this is a relatively new purchase, I used this a few years ago and decided to repurchase, loving it so far! On blemishes I have been loving the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, the coverage is really great (I have a lots of blemishes to hide) and it isn't drying on the skin at all! For brows I use the Anastasia Brow Wiz which is by far THE BEST brow product I have ever used, it is amazing! I order it from Cult Beauty and once I place an order, it arrives the next day so I would totally recommend that website. On top of the Anastasia Brow Wiz I use the Benefit Gimme Brow which I adore, I did a full review here so you can read my detailed thoughts there!

Birthday Wishlist!

Seeing as next week is my birthday (Friday the 4th to be exact ;) I thought I would share a few of the bits I have on my birthday wish list and general wish list, even if I don't get any of these (it's very unlikely I will get the Nike trainers and bikini) I will probably end up buying them anyway!

Pandora Sterling Silver Ring with Zirconia

I already own almost every single Pandora ring there is, once you get one, you just need them all! They are the perfect rings for stacking which I why I tend to buy them as they look great together! I recently spotted this really simple but pretty ring and quickly added it to my list, it also comes in other colours but as diamond is my birthstone I thought the zirconia would be perfect!

Origins Mega Mushroom Cleanser
I usually ask for this cleanser at birthday and christmas as it's my all time favourite cleanser, it's the only cleanser that I continue to repurchase. It doesn't make my skin feel dry or tight like a lot of cleansers I've used before, I have a lot of love for Origins products!

Nike Lunarglide 5 ID
Just look at these trainers!! *insert hearts in eyes emoji here* As soon as I saw these trainers I just fell in love, purple is one of my favourite colours and I just completely adore these!! The last time I got trainers was a few years ago (I'm just trying to come up with excuses and trying to justify why I need these beauties) so I totally need new ones! ;) You can also personalise these and get your name/initials/a word embroidered on these, SOLD!

Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook
Although I can't cook, I like to thing I can *sort of* bake. I love baking cupcakes and have been meaning to go to one of the Hummingbird Bakeries for ages, so would love to try out a few of their recipes! Apparently there is also other recipes like brownies in here too!

Triangl Lucie Champagne Coral Underwear Set
I swear everyone and their mother either has a bikini/underwear from Triangl or is dying to get some. I follow their instagram account and it really isn't helping with my obsession with their products! I love the look of there Lucie range of underwear (and all their other products!) and this colour is beautiful!

PS. Pleaaasee could you guys like this photo on Facebook (link here) for the Trek America contest, I know their are better photos but it would make my year to win!! You also have the chance to win a goody bag if you like the pic!

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette

Sleek Blush by Three Cheek Palette in Pink Lemonade £9.99*

I really love cheek palettes, my Nars One Night Stand Palette is one of my favourite beauty purchases ever, so I was really excited to try out this Sleek palette! It contains three blushers, two powder and one creme which means you get the best of both worlds, personally I love both powder and creme blushers so it's nice to be able to try both in one palette. I've used the Sleek Contour Kit before, which I absolutely adore and have used for years so I had high hopes for this palette. The three shades in the palette are "Icing Sugar" "Macaroon" and "Pink Mint." Both the powders are shimmery shades and the creme blush is matte, Icing Sugar is a pale pink shade with silver glitter, there is quite a lot of sparkle in the shade so it's not the most subtle but it is very pretty! If you prefer matte shades, Macaroon is a medium pink, I really love the formula of this creme blusher it was really soft and creamy, so really easy to apply. I'm undecided on whether this is my favourite or if "Pink Mint" is, either way I love this and the texture is great to use. Finally is Pink Mint, a more orangey pink, I absolutely adore this shade, it's stunning! The palette retails for just £9.99 which I personally think is great value for money as you get three beautiful long lasting blushers!

You can buy the palette from the Sleek website here or from Boots or Superdrug!

Max Factor "The Face" Package

I recently received this Max Factor kit as a giveaway from Layla of Sprinkles of Style (definitely check out her blog here, it's brilliant!) which contains three brilliant products, the first is a "lip colour," the Lipfinity in the shade 340 Essential Natural. This has two steps, a lipgloss type of product and a balm to go over the top, when you first apply the lipgloss it is a very nice consistency and highly pigmented, it dries fairly quickly and dries very matte, you could leave it just like that if that's the finish you want and it does look great. However if you prefer a glossier finish, you add the balm on top. Honestly, this stuff stays put!! I even struggled to remove it with makeup remover, so if you're looking for a long lasting lip product that does not budge, definitely try this! The colour is also very flattering, it's not a nude and it's not an extremely bright and daring shade, but somewhere in the middle! The Glossfinity in the shade Cobalt Blue is a very classic and pretty colour, I really love the size of the brush which also made it really quick and easy to apply, even on my extremely short nails! It also lasts such a long time without any chipping! Finally is the False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara, I've used the standard version of this mascara and it's a really nice mascara, I'm not the biggest fan of the brush as it is massive and does take some getting used to. However it really does stay put and as it is waterproof it holds the curl really well!

Benefit Gimme Brow

Benefit Gimme Brow £17.50*

Recently I've been trying to invest more time in my brows, I've been working on growing them out and shaping them more so I was excited to try out a new brow products from Benefit, the "Gimme Brow," a "brow volumising fibre gel." It claims to be water resistant, long wearing, natural looking and build able. I agree with all these points, I even wore this when I went swimming and it didn't budge! I naturally have quite thin brows, especially at the end which I am trying to grow out a bit! As I have blonde hair, my brows are quite pale so I never leave them natural as my face looks strange when they haven't been filled in! As you can see from the photo (which I look really strange in haha!) it has really added definition to my brows, if I am having a more natural day, the Gimme Brow can be used on it's own to create a natural but buildable brow, on a day to day basis I have been loving using it over the top of my Anastasia Brow Wiz which I use to rely on to fill out the end part of my brows as they are very thin!

The packaging is really cute (as are all Benefit products!) and although the tube is quite tiny, it is perfect to travel with and carry around in your handbag! I also absolutely loving how tiny the brush is, I recently bought the Nars Brow Gel and encountered problems as the brush is so big that I ended up with some product around my brows but with this, the brush is the perfect size!
The Gimme Brow comes in two shades, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. The Light/Medium is the one I tend to use as I have fair brows! The Gimme Brow costs £17.50 which is slightly pricey but I am thoroughly impressed with this, when I use it on top of my Anastasia Brow Wiz it really holds my brows in place and add more definition.

Benefit are also collaborating with Debenhams and Look Good Feel Better, a charity that offers free services for "women and teenagers suffering from the visible side effects of cancer treatment."In March you can get your brows waxed when you make a small donation to the charity so head out to your nearest Debenhams Benefit Brow Bar!

You can purchase the Gimme Brow here and find out more about Brow Arch March here!

What would you pack for a weekend away? Trek America Contest Entry!

When I read Victoria's blog post about the chance to win a two week trip with Trek America, I knew I had to enter. I followed her blog posts and instagram pictures while she was on her 9 week trip and was so jealous! Trek America are offering one person the chance to spend two weeks on their Westerner 2 trek, two weeks to explore San Francisco, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, visit the Grand Canyon at sunrise or sunset, what could be more beautiful? You also get to experience city tours of San Francisco, Hollywood and Las Vegas, sightsee in San Diego and spend time in Santa Barbara which is one of my favourite place on earth! To be in with a chance of winning, you simply have to write a blog post, explaining which items you would take with you on a weekend away. I think England has a lot to offer and some beautiful cities, two of my favourites are Bath and Brighton, I would 100% recommend visiting these cities at least once! I decided to make a quick (I say "quick" it took bloomin' ages) stop motion of a few things I would take with me!

I would, of course bring my Mulberry Bayswater, my favourite bag. It's such a classic bag and colour, I think it's one I will use for years due to the fact it's so timeless, simple and elegant. I wouldn't leave the house without my phone, I'm glued to Instagram 99% of the time! I would pack my Cath Kidston Purse, this is a really spacious purse, I have a lot of cards, I think I have ever loyalty card that ever existed, Costa, Nandos, Starbucks, Boots..the list is endless! I am getting back into reading at the moment so I would pack a book as you never know when you'll end up with a spare few minutes, (probably while in a traffic jam!) I recently bought, The Fault in our Stars by John Green, I feel like this is a book everyone my age has read ages ago but I've only recently discovered it! For a weekend away I tend to only take my staple makeup products, I really love the Cath Kidston Makeup Bags, they look normal sized but they can hold so much makeup in them! I have been loving my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Nars Douceur Blush, Naked Palette and Mac Soft and Gentle, so they would all come along for the ride on my weekend away! My most used brushes are the Real Techniques Powder Brush and Buffing Brush, the Mac 130 (perfect for applying highlighter) and finally, my new favourite foundation brush, the Sigma F80!

I've worn a watch everyday since I was about five so I would bring a watch, my Michael Kors watch is one of my favourite possessions, the silver goes with almost every outfit and it's just such a lovely accessory. Finally, in terms of an outfit, I would wear my new shorts from American Apparel, I love these a lot, if you're looking for a pair of highwaisted shorts that don't show off your whole butt cheek, these are the ones for you! I also picked a cute black and white striped top from New Look and my beloved Chelsea Boots from good old Topshop! I would of course pack essentials like toothpaste, a toothbrush, deodorant but they didn't make for a fun stop motion!

Make sure to watch my stop motion below, it took a long time and I now can't feel my legs from all the moving items and jumping up to take 50000 photos!
