Summer Makeup

Having just got back from my holiday, my makeup choices have changed ever so slightly. Being out in the sun means my skin is a lot better and I reach for something lighter in coverage as well as less makeup on my eyes. For my skin I started using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser after hearing so many great things about it, I tend to wear full coverage foundations as I prefer my skin to look "perfect" so I was unsure as to whether I would like this at all. However, I love it. Even for a tinted moisturiser the coverage is great and my skin doesn't look much different to when I wear a full coverage foundation, apart from seeming more glowy and healthier looking. I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do but it's definitely going to stay in my makeup bag for the foreseeable future! During the day it's important to wear an spf, even if your foundation or tinted moisturiser has spf in it,  this one from Benefit is perfect and fits in my bag! To set my tinted moisturiser I use the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, this makes your skin look healthier and also doesn't make your face look cakey, it still looks like your skin and is very natural. I then like to add a highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, my favourite is the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle, this is amazing and such a pretty champagne colour.

On my eyes is a new palette I've been trying, a nude palette of course. The Balm Nude 'tude palette is a product I have wanted to try for a while so I was very excited to get my hands on it, all the shadows are super pigmented and very easy to blend. My favourite shades are Standoffish and Seductive! This is perfect for me and for summer as it's super simple and natural while still giving you options for a bolder and more dramatic look, perfect! I then finish off with some mascara, I'm currently using the Maybelline Volume Express Mascara. I then add a simple, pretty and subtle lipstick such as the Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake.
