YSL Nude Beige

YSL Rouge Volupte - Nude Beige £26

If I had to only own lipsticks from one company; it would be YSL. I only own two of their lipsticks because they cost a small fortune however I adore both of them, the consistency, the smell, the packaging.. Everything about them is lovely, they feel so luxurious and the packaging is sophisticated and beautiful. While bored in my lunch break a few weeks ago, I was swatching lipsticks. Did I need a new lipstick? No. Did I want one? Yes. As soon as I picked this one up and looked in the bullet, I knew it was the perfect shade for me. A pretty pink, not too blue toned, not too nude, perfect. I knew I had to have it. The consistency of the YSL Rouge Volupte's (and Rouge Volupte Shine) are SO creamy, they glide on the lips like no other lipstick I have tried. I have awfully dry lips at the best of times and especially now as I have developed the worlds worst cold where my skin and lips are cracked and dry! This lipstick doesn't accentuate the dryness, you can barely see it. The one down side of a lipstick being this creamy is that it doesn't last as well as other more matte lipsticks, for me, this isn't a particularly big deal. I would much rather a lipstick look great, feel nice on the lips and not last a great deal of time than a lipstick that accentuates the dryness but lasts all day. This is a lipstick that I now keep in my bag 24/7 as it's the perfect one to just throw on any when!
