March Birchbox

Arrow Boost Colour Enhancing Lip Balm
Phillip B Drop Dead Straightening Balm
ModelCo More Brows
This Works Pillow Spray
Amika Nourishing Mask
 Polaar Moistursing Gel

The theme of this month's box is 'Word Up' and it's a great box, as per usual! I straighten my hair every day because it's naturally wavy/messy, this month's box has the Phillip B Drop Dead Straightening Balm in the box. This is to keep your hair smooth and sleek once you straighten it! As I love any kind of brow product, I was super excited to be able to try the ModelCo More Brows. It's quite similar to the Benefit Gimme brow which I also love and I tend to apply after I have applied my Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, I find that these kinds of gels help to set all my brow products so they stay all day. My other favourite product from the box is the This Works Pillow Spray, I have tried this before and loved it. Sometimes I can take a while to get to sleep if I'm feeling particularly stressed so I love to spray these on my pyjamas and pillow!

What do you think about this month's box?

The Nine West Chicly Chained Bag

I think we've all establised I'm bag obsessed, so how could I not add another one to the collection? As soon as I saw this bag, I fell in love with it. I think it's because it reminded me of the Chloé Faye and Drew bags together with the shape of the bag and the lovely chain and loop detailing. The bag is from Love The Sales, a website perfect for finding great deals on bags, shoes, makeup, clothing, electricals and more! It makes shopping and wanting to get the best price, easy! I browsed the website for so long, focussing mainly on the Saint Laurent and Burberry bags they have on there, they have such a beautiful selection and I was definitely lusting after all of them! This particular bag is a Nine West bag from the Kurt Geiger sale called the Chicly Chained Bag.

I chose the black colour rather than the white as I thought it would be more versatile and a lot easier to take care of, the bag is a mixture of materials with the lower half being a soft suede type of material which I think is a lovely detail and makes the bag look more feminine and higher end. I think the gold hardware also makes it look classier and I adore the chain and loop detail, as it's very unusual. There are so many little pockets to store items in. I rarely carry small bags, however this one makes it easy to do so because I can store everything I need in it. I'm completely obsessed with this bag and I have received so many compliments on it so far, it is now only £35 in the sale, so definitely a bargain worth checking out!

Have a quick peek, or extended browse in my case, at the website here, I guarantee you will find a brilliant bargain!

Love of Colour

It's always exciting when you get to try a new brand! LOC (Love of Colour) is a Birchbox brand which has released Shadow Sticks and Lipsticks. There are two Shadow Sticks and three shades of the Lipsticks in their collection and all of which are absolutely beautiful! My favourite of the two Shadow Sticks is Champagne Problems and I've worn it every day since I received it, it's so pretty and lovely for creating a gorgeous eye makeup look. They are so creamy and lovely to apply! The lipsticks have brilliant staying power, my niece and I both tried the red on and could not get if off! I love all the lipstick shades, they are such classic shades, a beautiful and flattering nude, a bright and bold red and a gorgeous berry purple. The best thing about these products? Not only are they amazing quality, they are super affordable! The Shadow Sticks are just £8 and the lipsticks £6.50

You can buy them directly from the Birchbox website, here and here!

Hazelnut and Nutella Banana Bread

4oz Caster Sugar
3oz Butter
8oz Plain Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3 Bananas
Handful of chopped Hazelnuts

Whenever we have an abundance of bananas in the house, I always make banana bread. This time, I decided to add hazelnuts and a little bit of nutella to make something slightly different but still absolutely delicious! First, start by preheating the oven to 180C and line a loaf tin. Then place the butter and sugar in a bowl and cream together, next add in the beaten egg, flour and baking power. Combine these ingredients together into a dry mixture and set aside. In a separate bowl, mash the bananas to a pulp and then add to the dry ingredients, along with the chopped hazelnuts. Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and then swirl in Nutella onto the top of the mixture. Place in the oven for 50-55 minutes until golden brown. If you're feeling indulgent, you can also put more nutella on once you slice your loaf!

Let me know if you do try this recipe, it tastes amazing!
