What would you pack for a weekend away? Trek America Contest Entry!

When I read Victoria's blog post about the chance to win a two week trip with Trek America, I knew I had to enter. I followed her blog posts and instagram pictures while she was on her 9 week trip and was so jealous! Trek America are offering one person the chance to spend two weeks on their Westerner 2 trek, two weeks to explore San Francisco, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, visit the Grand Canyon at sunrise or sunset, what could be more beautiful? You also get to experience city tours of San Francisco, Hollywood and Las Vegas, sightsee in San Diego and spend time in Santa Barbara which is one of my favourite place on earth! To be in with a chance of winning, you simply have to write a blog post, explaining which items you would take with you on a weekend away. I think England has a lot to offer and some beautiful cities, two of my favourites are Bath and Brighton, I would 100% recommend visiting these cities at least once! I decided to make a quick (I say "quick" it took bloomin' ages) stop motion of a few things I would take with me!

I would, of course bring my Mulberry Bayswater, my favourite bag. It's such a classic bag and colour, I think it's one I will use for years due to the fact it's so timeless, simple and elegant. I wouldn't leave the house without my phone, I'm glued to Instagram 99% of the time! I would pack my Cath Kidston Purse, this is a really spacious purse, I have a lot of cards, I think I have ever loyalty card that ever existed, Costa, Nandos, Starbucks, Boots..the list is endless! I am getting back into reading at the moment so I would pack a book as you never know when you'll end up with a spare few minutes, (probably while in a traffic jam!) I recently bought, The Fault in our Stars by John Green, I feel like this is a book everyone my age has read ages ago but I've only recently discovered it! For a weekend away I tend to only take my staple makeup products, I really love the Cath Kidston Makeup Bags, they look normal sized but they can hold so much makeup in them! I have been loving my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Nars Douceur Blush, Naked Palette and Mac Soft and Gentle, so they would all come along for the ride on my weekend away! My most used brushes are the Real Techniques Powder Brush and Buffing Brush, the Mac 130 (perfect for applying highlighter) and finally, my new favourite foundation brush, the Sigma F80!

I've worn a watch everyday since I was about five so I would bring a watch, my Michael Kors watch is one of my favourite possessions, the silver goes with almost every outfit and it's just such a lovely accessory. Finally, in terms of an outfit, I would wear my new shorts from American Apparel, I love these a lot, if you're looking for a pair of highwaisted shorts that don't show off your whole butt cheek, these are the ones for you! I also picked a cute black and white striped top from New Look and my beloved Chelsea Boots from good old Topshop! I would of course pack essentials like toothpaste, a toothbrush, deodorant but they didn't make for a fun stop motion!

Make sure to watch my stop motion below, it took a long time and I now can't feel my legs from all the moving items and jumping up to take 50000 photos!
