My Experience At The Reebok Spa In Canary Wharf

A few weeks ago I was asked if I wanted to come down to the Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf and have a facial, I jumped at the opportunity as my skin has been pretty terrible lately! The Reebok Sports Club is in the Canada Water shopping centre just next to Canary Wharf Tube Station so it's really accessible and easy to get to! I got the lift to the second floor which opens straight into the Sports Club and then I walked through to the spa. The staff were super lovely, I was offered water while I waited for my appointment and was asked to fill out a form on my age, any medical conditions and whether I was taking any medication for my skin, before they could go ahead with the facial. Before I went I was asked if I wanted to try the Hydraclean facial which according to the website is for those who "have demanding schedules that leave little time for longer treatments, this facial works in two simple ways, firstly to cleanse and eliminate toxins, secondly a relaxing massage leaves the skin hydrated and luminous. Experiencing a facial has never been simpler, sophisticated skincare has never been so accessible without having to compromise on time." When it was time for my appointment I went into a candle lit room where I got onto a massage bed, the facial only takes around 25 minutes which went so quickly! The facial was such a lovely experience, my makeup was removed and my skin was deep cleansed, I was then given a lovely face and body massage before a gel is applied and a heated electrode glides over the skin. The heat from the electrode "favours the hyper secretion of the sebaceous and sweat glands, thereby eliminating excess sebum and toxins." They then offered an extraction (getting rid of any blackheads) which made such a difference! Finally was another facial massage to "re-commence skin microcirculation." When I walked out of the spa, my skin felt very refreshed and radiant and I definitely think my skin has improved since I had it done. The experience was so lovely, the whole Reebok Sports Club in general feels very luxurious and the staff were all really nice. The facial retails for £41 which is quite pricey but the whole spa experience was something I would definitely recommend and I would do it again. At the Sports Club you can also do fitness classes like boxing, yoga, indoor cycling and pilates. They also do Hypnotherapy, Physiotherapy, Reflexology and Sports Massage.
