Current Favourite Beauty Products

I love hearing about other people's new beauty discoveries and favourites, it often gives me some new ideas and products to add to my shopping list. I mentioned the Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation in my 2020 Beauty Favourites post, it's now my everyday foundation and I haven't used another one since it arrived. The finish of this is beautiful, it honestly airbrushes my skin leaving it looking absolutely flawless and poreless. On top of this, it stays put all day without going patchy or rubbing off around my hairline (something that happens with other foundations). I think Nars really get it right when it comes to foundations, their Sheerglow is a classic and the Radiant Longwear seems to be in every makeup artist's kit. I knew when the Soft Matte Complete Foundation was released I would have to buy it and I have since recommended it to literally everyone. Another base product I've been obsessed with is the Tarte Shape Tape. I first tried this a couple of years ago, it had been massively hyped up and talked about within the beauty community however for some reason I wasn't blown away by it. A few months ago, I decided to give it a try again after seeing more people using it in makeup tutorials and loving it. For some reason, I now love it. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong the first time or if they've changed any of the product formulation but I am loving using it. The shade really brightens and covers my dark circles and it also sits nicely under the eyes, without looking cakey or settling into any fine lines.

For the past year, I've barely used perfume. Why would I need to use it when I'm sat in my house on zoom calls? However, I've had a few trips out of the house recently, to go to the vet and take my car for its service, what a treat, so I wore it for these occasions and it made me feel normal again! One of my current favourites is the Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud Cologne, this is a rich fragrance with smokey oud wood. It would definitely work as a unisex fragrance that contains clove and praline. It's really unique and perfect if you want to wear something other than super floral scents and are looking for something deeper.

I've not actually tried many products from Huda Beauty but last year I saw someone recommend the matte lipsticks. I bought the shade Prom Night which is a really pretty nude pink colour and perfect for everyday wear. I have very dry lips so I often struggle with matte lipsticks being too dry and feeling uncomfortable on my lips but this is easy to wear and feels nice on the lips. I'm definitely thinking about investing in some more shades.
