Birchbox £12.95*

Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo £13.95
Rituals Scrub £10
The Balm Desert Bronzer £15
Huygens Face Exfoliating Cream £17.90
Lord and Perry Lotus Blush £17
Illamasqua Hydra Veil £32

This month's Bircbox was called the "Beauty Junkie" box, which of course; I am. This month my favourite products were the Kebelo Shampoo and The Balm Desert Bronzer. I completely used up the shampoo, it smells amazing and left my hair leaving lovely and soft as well as super clean. I also loved The Balm Bronzer which adds a really pretty glow to the skin, it's slightly shimmery so I haven't used it for contouring but as bronzer on the points of my face where the sun would naturally hit. The Lord and Berry Lotus Blusher is also a beautiful product from the box, I love deeper shades of blushers so this is a perfect shade!

What do you think of this month's box?

My Top 5 Mac Lipsticks

For today's post I thought I would pick my top 5 Mac lipsticks; I don't own too many lipsticks as I don't wear them too often (mainly due to forgetfulness) but these are probably my favourite ones!

 Creme Cup
This is a Cremesheen finish, and I find it really easy to apply. This shade is one I reach for as an every day shade, it goes with lots of different makeup looks and because of the finish; it's really easy to just throw on. It's light blue-toned pink, which are my favourite kind of pink lipsticks!

Next is "Faux" a satin finish, this was sold out online for a while as it was rumoured to be one of Kylie Jenner's favourite shades. Although this finish does seem to be less matte in comparison to the ones she seems to wear, it does seem a good match colour wise. As you can see by the picture, this finish is more creamy compared to Creme Cup and doesn't cling to any dry parts of my lips. I think this is a lovely shade, a deeper pink but one that can still be worn day to day.

Up the Amp
This is an amplified cream and is one of my favourite finishes as it is very moisturising. This shade is a blue-toned purple and is vibrant shade which can also be toned down into a more wearable shade.

Morange is another Amplified Cream, this is an orange red and I absolutely adore this shade. I sometimes find it difficult to find a red shade that suits me and I think orange reds are often more wearable and less daunting than going for a bright red shade.

Lady Danger
This is my go-to red lipstick. It's a matte finish so it takes quite a lot of preparation for me as I have very dry lips, however it does last a lot longer than many of my other Mac lipsticks.

Which are your favourite Mac lipsticks?

First Impressions

For today's post, I thought I would talk about my first impressions of a few products I've been trying lately. I had heard a few people talk about the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, even though I have dry and dehydrated skin and the word "matte" in the name suggests it wouldn't be great for my skin, I picked it up. In terms of coverage, lasting power and finish, I love it. It looks amazing on the skin, makes it look flawless and covers everything, however in terms of the shade, it's not great. The shade Vanilla was the closest match to me however it is very very pink, although I do absolutely love the foundation, I may try mixing it with the lighter shade and attempt to make it match my skin tone because at £7.99, I think it's a fabulous foundation. When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I tend to play it safe and stick to 100% neutral palettes, however when I spotted that one of my favourite brands, Anastasia Beverly Hills, had released a new palette; I needed it. The Shadow Couture World Traveller Palette includes more colour than I'm used to and my first impression to it was "I'm not sure." I've struggled to create looks that I find wearable and I feel like the neutral shades don't work too well together and I find the shadows more difficult to blend in comparison to Mac or Urban Decay shadows!

Onto another product from Anastasia Beverly Hills, the Cream Contour Kit. I bought the shade "Light" as my skin is very fair, the product is a lot harder in consistency to what I was expecting and takes quite a lot of blending in to look natural however after it is blended, it looks great! It's something I would save for going out or a special occasion as it is quite time consuming! Finally the much discussed Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, every review I read on this was positive; saying it was amazing and they noticed a difference overnight. Therefore, I was expecting great things, did I notice a difference overnight? No. Was I amazed? No. I admit, my skin did seem more hydrated and foundation didn't cling to patches as much but I honestly didn't notice much of a difference in my skin. I'll keep using this and see if it works wonders over time and I'll get back to you..

I'm currently trying to save some money, while lusting after lots of lovely items and trying not to buy them. I've known about Chupi, an Irish jewellery company for quite a while now, all their pieces are beautiful. They are simple yet so elegant and unique, as well as being quite reasonable price wise. I love the 'Drop in the Wild' ring, it is absolutely stunning and I love how a lot of their pieces are inspired by nature! Illamasqua recently released a powder contour kit, I love any kind of contour product but the main reason I have my eye on this one is because the contour shades are cool toned therefore replicating how shadows would look if you had killer cheekbones. It looks like a palette that would be easy to use and look natural on the face. Mint Velvet is a store I could spend A LOT of money in, I love the simplicity and classiness of their clothes, most of their clothes are quite simple however they are all stunning, I particularly love this sage green top, the style is super flattering and I think it would be perfect paired with jeans and a statement necklace! Onto shoes, I found these beauties while searching ASOS, they're from Vivienne Westwood so of course I was going to love them. I think they're adorable and really add something to a simple outfit!

What items have you been lusting after lately?
