Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette: The Perfect Christmas Gift

I think when I received this palette in the post, it was the most excited I had been about a product, ever! I adore Urban Decay products, their eyeshadow palettes are always on my dressing table and their Naked Concealer is a firm favourite in my makeup bag so I was so excited to try out this palette. I haven't tried any of the Urban Decay lip products before so I didn't know what to expect of the consistency or colour pay off. The lipsticks are probably the creamiest of any I have tried, they are soft and apply so easily to my lips without drying them. My lips feel moisturised and nourished, almost like a lip balm rather than a lipstick but the colour pay off is what you would expect from a lipstick. As the consistency is creamy, they take a little bit longer to apply than a more firm and matte lipstick but for me this isn't much of an issue as I much prefer a moisturising lip.

The shades are all really pigmented, the shade 'Vanished' took longer to get much colour pay off but it is a pale nude so that's expected. The red tones like 'EZ' and '714' are absolutely beautiful shades and there are no pigmentation issues at all with these, it so lovely to wear a red lip which is comfortable and not tight or drying on the lips. This palette is super handy, if you're traveling it means you don't need a giant makeup bag for 12 different shades of lipstick, instead you get one palette full of 12 completely different shades. You can wear a nude, a bright and bold red, a deep plum purple or even a glittery pink shade. The palette also comes with a mini lip brush, I usually don't use brushes that come with palettes however the Urban Decay ones in the Eyeshadow Palettes and in this palette are really good quality and this definitely came in useful when applying the red shade in order to get clean and crisp lines. I think this would be the perfect Christmas gift for any beauty junkie!
