Brand Rundown: Charlotte Tilbury

I first tried Charlotte Tilbury products about six years ago when I was at university, the brand was quite new but there was still so much hype around the products because of how well known Charlotte was as a makeup artist. I bought a few of her staple products to start with and over the years have kept adding products to my vast makeup collection, there's a few that have become firm favourites and regulars in my makeup collection.

I did a full post on the Airbrush Flawless Foundation a few weeks ago, I spoke about how much I was loving using it and that it has become my everyday foundation. It's one of the most full coverage foundations I've tried, it covers everything and makes my skin look absolutely perfect. I find it lasts so well throughout the day without me having to reapply power or touch up while also not accentuating dry patches on the skin. If you want to read my full review, click here. Another base product I've tried from Charlotte Tilbury is the Magic Away Concealer, I've also written a full blog post reviewing this. I really enjoyed using this concealer, it wasn't the most high coverage product so when I have really angry red spots, it doesn't full cover them however when I used it under my eyes, it really brightened the area. It did such a great job of hiding under eye circles and making me look so much more awake. The only negative of this product is the applicator, it's a sponge-like applicator and I don't feel like it's the most hygenic way to apply a product, especially if you're using it on spots.

Charlotte's lip products are some of my all time favourites, I've tried three different types and I'm obsessed with all of them. The first lipstick I bought was her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in the shade Penelope Pink. This is such a beautiful pink nude shade and the consistency of the lipstick is incredible, it's so easy to apply, buttery and almost melts onto your lips. This is constantly in my handbag because it's such a great one to have on hand as a simple yet beautiful every day lipstick. More recently I bought the Hot Lips Lipstick in the shade Liv It Up, I wanted something a little bit darker than Penelope Pink but still something I would be able to wear everyday. The consistency of this is less moisturising and buttery than the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks but it still applies really nicely on the lips and isn't too matte and drying. Both of these lipsticks aren't particularly long lasting however this isn't something that bothers me too much as I tend to carry them in my handbag and reapply throughout the day. Another lipstick variation is the Hollywood Lips which I have in the shade Rising Star, this is a lovely liquid lipstick that's different to the ones I've tried before. Most really dry down on the lips in order to be long lasting whereas this feels really comfortable on the lips throughout the day. It doesn't last quite as long as other liquid lipsticks I've tried but that doesn't bother me too much when I'm wearing a product that feels more comfortable on the lips.

Another recent purchase was the Cheek to Chic Blusher in Pillow Talk. Lately I've been loving using blushers as I feel they make such a difference to my face when I wear them, I look healthier and a lot more glowy. This blusher is a two tone blusher with a dusky pink shade around the outside and a more champagne colour on the inside. You can wear the pink shade as a blusher and the centre shade as more of a highlight or you do what I do and swirl the product together on a brush and apply to the apply of the cheeks. I just love how glowy and healthy I look when I'm wearing this product and would love to try some of the other shades too. This product retails for £30 which I do think is very steep for a blusher, if you wanted to ask for this as a Christmas or Birthday gift then it would be a nice treat but I do also think there are cheaper alternatives out there that are similar. My favourite all time product from Charlotte Tilbury is the Beauty Light Wand, this is a gorgeous liquid highlight in a shade that suits my skintone so beautifully. You need the tiniest amount of product so I do think that while it's steep in price, it does last a really long time. I apply it mainly to my cheekbones and occasionally on the centre of my nose and my brow bone if I really want to add some extra glow to my skin. They recently came out with a darker contour shade and a pinky shade of this which look equally as beautiful and I would absolutely love to try out.

Overall there's not been a Charlotte Tilbury product that I've hated, I think the whole brand just screams 'Victoria Secret Model' with everything creating a really beautiful and glowy makeup look. There are some products that I might not repurchase regularly, like the Cheek to Chic Blusher because I think you can get amazing blushers in the drugstore and this isn't anything groundbreaking. However some of the products will be consistently repurchased, the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick is the nicest lipstick consistency I've ever tried and the Beauty Light Wand makes my skin glow like no other product. I will definitely continue to add to my collection and be curious about what she's going to release next!

Have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury products and do you have any favourites?
