How To: Apple and Cinnamon Muffins!

I have recently discovered cinnamon and am loving using it in recipes! I love mixing it in with my porridge and also sprinkling it on top of chopped apples! These muffins are so quick and easy to make as well as being delicious!

  • 100g butter, melted and cooled
  • 5 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten lightly
  • 125ml milk
  • 125g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 apples, cored and finely sliced

  • Topping:
  • 4 tablespoons demerara sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Preheat your oven to 200 C / Gas 6 and line cupcake/muffin tin with paper cases.

2. In a bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, beaten egg and milk. Sift in the flour, cinnamon and salt and stir until all are combined. The mixture should be lumpy, not smooth.

3. Spoon the mixture into the cases until about 2/3 full! Push the apple slices slightly into mixture. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the muffins.

4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they go light brown.

What to buy her for Christmas?

I often find it difficult to think of things to buy my friends/Mum/sister for Christmas! I thought I would give you guys some ideas for things you could buy! If you would like a "What to buy him for Christmas?" post I can do that too, just leave a comment if it is something you would like!
Make up
I think makeup is a really simple present to buy someone for Christmas! (unless of course they don't like makeup!) Pretty much every brand brings out a Christmas box set or palette so there are lots of brands to choose from! Urban Decay have a whole range of different palettes to suit so many different people! If it were me, I would love to find the Naked palette under my tree!

Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch
I don't think I have met a girl who doesn't want this watch! I have the smaller version and absolutely love it! I am currently in the process of saving up for the bigger one! This watch is a really classy and sophisticated watch that goes with any outfit! I constantly get compliments on mine as the rose gold colour is just beautiful!

Body Products
Every year for Christmas I get some kind of body butter/shower gel/moisturizer! They are a really great yet simple present that will come in handy for any girl! I personally love Soap and Glory products, the names of their products are well thought out, they all smell amazing and the actual products are equally as amazing!

Gift Cards
You cannot go wrong with buying a simple gift card! If you are really struggling with ideas or the person you are buying presents for is just plain fussy, then picking a gift card allows them to choose exactly what they want!

I adore this purse from Topshop! As purses are always in your handbag they often get worn out and tatty! I find purses really great to give as gifts as there are some really pretty ones out there!

Ipad Mini
Who doesn't want the Ipad mini? If you have a bigger budget why not get one of these? A great gadget for on the move where you can watch movies, tv shows, blog and tweet!

As well as makeup, perfume is the perfect gift. I often find out my friends/Mum's/Sisters favourite perfume and buy it for them! My Mum has one perfume she always gets people to buy her as she goes through it quickly! Finding out their favourite perfume is also good if you are unsure of what someone likes, perfume is a very personal thing so what one person loves, another may hate! Marc Jacobs always brings out Christmas gift boxes which make absolutely great presents!

What's On My Christmas List?

I think everyone and their dog has Muji storage, I love the fact they are clear as they go with every interior design and it's easy to see which products are where! Being insanely OCD I love organising my makeup, so this would be perfect gift for me! I feel like my makeup would be easier to get to as I wouldn't have to go through all the draws on my dresser!

I posted my review of the Soft and Gentle MSF the other day which you can read here. I now want them all! I think Lightscapade looks absolutely beautiful and I would really love it!

My friend has been telling me about this for ages! There is a more expensive one that measures your sleep as well and tells you the best time that you should sleep! Although, this one is quite a bit cheaper and you can still measure the calories you have burnt throughout the day!

I already have a pair of Leigh jeans and they are my favourites! However I got them a while ago and have since gone down a clothing size so they are a tad on the roomy side! I think Topshop do the best jeans and would recommend them to absolutely anyone!

I have been having a lot of trouble with my skin lately and have heard amazing things about this spot solution, Origins have such a great reputation and I cannot wait to try this!

I always ask for perfume for Christmas and my birthday! I put this on my wishlist in July and cannot wait until I can finally try it!

Since I read Kayleigh's blog post  about Sketch and Cranberry eyeshadow I have wanted to try the combo! I have had Cranberry for a while and absolutely love it so would love to try it with some other shades!

I think bows are my favourite thing to wear it my hair! I think these are great value for money as I have seen these be sold for a lot more! There is a great colour range to choose from!

What is on your Christmas list?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish In Soft And Gentle!

Let me introduce you to one of my all time favourite MAC products. Whenever anyone asks what they should buy from MAC, I always say this! I bought this in July in Duty Free, I had heard a lot about it but never really considered purchasing it. I bit the bullet and just bought it (although the sales assistant treated me like an idiot! Bad customer service.) and I am SO glad I did. This is hands down my favourite highlighter, I have tried liquid highlighters like Benefit high beam but I'm not a huge fan of them. I just find powder highlighters so much easier to apply!

MAC describes Soft and Gentle as a 'gilded peach bronze' colour which I would definitely agree with, although I would say it is slightly more champagne than "peach." I love this as it gives your skin a beautiful yet subtle shimmer, there are no huge chunks of glitter in it but it still makes your skin look healthy and glowy! I have found that this works great on so many skintones, I am very pale and it looks lovely but I have also seen darker skintones wear it and it look beautiful as well! I apply it on my cheekbones using a Mac 130 brush, however I have used a number of different brushes and most work brilliantly! I have also used it on my brow bone (looks amazing!) but you can also apply it on cupid's bow and collar bone for emphasis!

You get 10g of product in the compact, I can honestly see this product lasting FOREVER! I have used it almost everyday since July and it hardly has even a dip in it! Although many Mac products seem to get used up quite quickly, this product is really worth the money and I would 100% recommend it to absolutely anyone! I really want to try the two other MSF's from Mac, however I can't seem to decide between the two! I might have to purchase them both!

Have you tried any of the MSF's?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks!

I had wanted to try the Kate Moss lipsticks as soon as they came out, they all looked so pretty. I went into Boots and swatched them all. I didn't think I would wear the nude and pink shades as I have quite a few lipstick that are quite similar. I really liked the look of the shades 110 and 111. I would describe 110 as an orange red, similar to something like Morange by MAC. I think this shade would suit quite a lot of people and I find it very wearable for in the day. 111 is a true red, I had wanted a postbox red lipstick for a while and this is definitely what I was looking for.

I thing these lipsticks are great especially as they are from the lower end of the drugstore. The pigmentation of them is amazing, they last so well throughout the day and they are so easy to apply! I also absolutely love the way they smell! It is a fruity smell that I can't quite seem to put my finger on, almost like watermelon! Although it is not overbearing or offensive.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these lipsticks! I am actually tempted to buy the other shades even though I have others similar I just love the texture, consistency and colour pay off of these!

Have you tried these lipsticks?

Products I Regret Buying!

Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish
This was featured in my September favourites! But unfortunately it has broken me out SO badly! I bought this back in April but was using a few other products at the same time, when I broke out I assumed it was them. I did stop using this for a while when I was trying a few other things out. When I started using it again in September I really like it, however I thought to myself a few weeks ago "maybe it was this that was breaking me out?" and it turns out it was! The next day, no new spots had formed like they had been doing for ages and in the next few days all my spots started to go! I did really like this product as it took all my makeup off so easily and would recommend it but maybe get a sample or travel version just to check if you have a reaction!

Look Beauty Airbrush Base Foundation
I have used this once. Yes, once! I used it and absolutely hated it! It reminded me of the L'oreal True Match foundation which I hate with a passion! I have very dry skin and this just seemed to highlight any dry patches I had! The choice of colours is also very poor! I believe there is about three shades!

MUA Blusher In Shade 2
I have barely used this blusher. I bought it when MUA first came to my Superdrug store just as an impulse buy! It just has WAAAY too much glitter in it for me! I can't see it being something I would ever really wear!

Gosh Silver Eyeliner
Never in my life have I thought "you know what would make my eye makeup even better? SILVER EYELINER!" I remember when I bought this, but I honestly have no idea what was going through my head. I really like the Gosh eyeliners, I find they are really soft and have great colour pay off, but SILVER? Really Georgina?!! No.

BarryM Glitter Dust In Shade 6
I think they have changed the numbering of their glitter/dazzle dusts so I'm not sure what number this is now, but it's a dark blue glitter! I look absolutely awful when I wear blue eyeshadow and to be honest I look awful with any kind of glitter on as well! I bought this when I was quite young (not sure why I still have it!) as my sister was buying some and I wanted one too, I'm not sure why I felt the need to buy the most un-wearable shade! Haha!

BarryM Lipstick In Shade 107
I don't even think I can explain when, why or how I bought this lipstick. There is no way of describing it other than pink glitter. It is a pink glitter. For your lips. Just, no. This should not ever be done. This was another purchase from when I was younger and I have honestly never worn it (..outside of my house. I've worn it in my room a few times and danced around but I won't elaborate any more on that as you may worry for my sanity..)

I hope you guys liked this post! I have just taken about 5000 photos of beauty products so I will finally be doing more beauty reviews/posts! Yay!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow In Stiletto!

I love using an eyeshadow base before applying shadow, the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows have always been something I have wanted to get my hands on. There are so many that have been recommended to me. I picked up the shade "Stiletto" which is the one I have wanted for about two years now but never seemed to actually pick up! I love purple colours!

The product is very creamy, I prefer the consistency of this to the Maybelline colour tattoo's. I haven't tried a MAC paint pot so I can't compare although I have heard that a lot of people prefer these! The product was easy to apply, I just patted it onto my eyelid. One day I decided to wear it out it's own, whereas the next day I applied underneath eyeshadow. Both of these looked super pretty! It was a great base underneath my Cranberry and Hepcat eyeshadows by MAC! The staying power is really great! It lasts longer underneath eyeshadow, obviously as you are "setting" the product using a powder eyeshadow!

I would really love to purchase more of these, I have my eye on "Birthday Suit" and "R.S.V.P" as they are more neutral shades!

Have you tried this product? Which are you favourites?
